摘要(Abstract)：

介绍了地理信息系统的发展概况，从计算机应用开发的角度论述了煤田地质勘探信息系统的构成、功能、实现方法和技术可行性，展望了地理信息系统在煤田勘探中的应用前景。
The Graphical Information System(GIS) development is summarized in this paper.The constitution,functions,realization method and technical feasibility of Coal Geological Exploration Graphical Information System(CGEGIS)are discussed in the view of computer application.The application trend of CGEGIS in coal field exploration is forecasted.
